The Creative Heart Warrior started in 2017 as a blog recounting the life events of the Owner (Rebecca) and her battle with Congenital Heart Defects as her health was declining. She used her platform as a way to advocate for CHD and raise awareness of the struggles that patients like herself were going through and go through on a daily basis. Rebecca has always been creative and started making vinyl decals to stay busy while not being able to work due to her health issues. This was a great way for her to be creative and have an outlet rather that feeling alienated. As people saw her decals and designs, they began asking to have items custom made which prompted her to turn The Creative Heart Warrior into what it is today with vinyl decals, t-shirts, and other accessories. Rebecca was born with Double Outlet Right Ventricle, d-TGA, VSD, ASD and Pulmonary Hypertension. She underwent the BT Shunt at 3 months old and 1st and 2nd stage Fontan at 3 years old and 3 1/2 years old as well as numerous other surgeries since. Her team at Duke in Durham, NC takes great care of her.
In 2020, Rebecca met Robert who is the 3D printing side of the shop- they decided to mesh their businesses (The Creative Heart Warrior and Sacreligous Creations) together to offer even more awesome products. Robert has been 3D printing for over six years, crocheting for over 35 years and loves working on custom projects in both 3D printing and crochet. Robert is a proud Navy Veteran with over 10 years in the service, when he is not working on new designs he enjoys hanging out with his kids and bouncing ideas off of other creative Veterans.
